i messed up, i missed it

i'm an a-hole!

i accidently sold cigarettes to an underage narc kid at the drug store and got busted. guh.... embarrassing, but i could have got a life-ruining $3000 fine. i am now IDing every human being.

ps - that picture is a real package of cigarettes; "Lucky Strike commissioned one pack of smokes to be produced that proudly boasts 18ct white gold package that displays one large diamond and one large ruby". ughhhh.

yes, a heart will always go one step too far

for my own memory - here's my last week:

saturday: worked job #2, then went to a show with dan at the hi-fi instead of playing tile rummy. we regretted it.
sunday: internetted all day then i met a guy for tea and a hot dog.
monday: i worked job #2.
tuesday: sasquatch team meeting. we have tickets, we have premiere camping, we are good to go.
wednesday: screen printing class, meh. left early to hang out with dawson & watched fantasia.
thursday: made matcha cookies with sara and watched crazy cable TV.
friday: went snowboarding for FREE with guy from sunday, then had sushi/scrabble with bodman.

i spent quite a bit of time this week thinking/talking/reading about john titor, the time traveller. i just love everything about this website. it's so ridiculous and awesome.

from the john titor times:

A world war in 2015 killed nearly three billion people. The people that survived grew closer together. Life is centered on the family and then the community. I cannot imagine living even a few hundred miles away from my parents.

There is no large industrial complex creating masses of useless food and recreational items. Food and livestock is grown and sold locally. People spend much more time reading and talking together face to face. Religion is taken seriously and everyone can multiply and divide in their heads.

john titor q & a:
What happens to Bill Clinton?
I don't really know.

What happens to Bill Gates?
This I do know but I won't discuss.

"i can't relate to 99% of humanity"

me: hey, what are you up to?

seemingly alright guy on dating site: lol hey not much watching 2 and a half men hahah.

me: change the channel!!! that's the worrrst show! hah. why would you do that?

guy: ahahah!! WHAT! it's great! haha Charlie Sheen is soo funny! same with the kid. LOL! plus it`s not on tv i own the 2nd season lol.

me: oh.....

what.the.fuck. seriously? "lol"s and THE shittiest sitcom i've ever seen? no way.

oh guess what chumps? i AM going to sasquatch festival! with kind of a random group of people, but i'm pumped, i think it's gonna be great times.

work is killing me slowly each day though. not a good feeling.

ban marriage by the hidden cameras

yes! i have finally been reunited with this song. it's been too long. you've done it again, library!

i'm cleaning my place. it's excruciating. i wish i had a filing cabinet for all my papers. and also a filing cabinet for my clothes..oh i mean, a dresser.

it makes you look like a lumberjack, but are you man enough to wear it?

this week so far has been pretty grande.

monday - i went over to chris' place and he did my taxes and i drank beer and internetted it up. then i went to work at the drug store for an hour because some people are punks who don't show up for their shifts. it was a good night though.

tuesday - i invited some people to go for wings. and they showed up! and we had fun! hobbs showed up, and i ate some hot wings! crazy!

wednesday - i went to screen printing class, but left early. there is dissension in the ranks, everyone is complaining about the class and douglas didn't show up. there's only 4 weeks left though.

something strange/awesome happened tonight too. i'm not sure how to explain it, i think the best way is to say that i re-connected with a friend that i'd lost touch with. we're hanging out friday night and i'm pretty pumped!

i really need to clean my house. again. i have a problem.

live on location blog!

sigh x 40

just got back from the info session at "women building futures" and...i'm doing it!
i'm going to work towards apprenticeship/journeyman certification. i'm relieved - this program SEEMS really good and comprehensive. i still have to be assessed, but i'm pretty confident they would accept me. then there is the grant application, and logistics and living arrangements to work out. i'll probably aim to start in september/november, after i get back from europe.

sigh sigh sigh.

ok, i have orders to hit up the farmer's market, so i'm cutting this one short. but calgary friends, just be aware i MAY be moving to the capital city* sometime in the next year or half year, so start soaking it* up now!

*"it", being my company. oh and "capital city" = edmonton

------------------
Edit:
i'm posting more, because i'm tired of walking around in the slush and i'm just sitting around caylie's apartment waiting for her to get off work and even though she has tons of interesting projects and art lying EVERYWHERE she apparently DOESN'T want me to snoop through any of it. :(

hmm... um...my shoes are almost worn out... yea... ok, end transmission...

o ma ma ma ma ma

i've downloaded/borrowed/libraried a buttload of music lately, and now i have 3 hours of driving to soak it in uninterrupted. here's a small portion of what i'll be checking out today:

March 12, 2008

god damn right, it's a beautiful day

5 things:

poor palace is moving to new levels.. of existiness! we got a keyboard (a psr 600, pictured), and also a drum machine (not as exciting looking, so not pictured). so far it's been pretty hilarious. mitch decided his stage name is "captain rap"! and he wants me to called "kelsey keyboard". haha!

oh man, i just burned my mouth SO bad on chicken noodle soup. i am BEYOND annoyed with myself over it.

screen printing class hasn't been as magical as i'd hoped, i pretty much had another wasted class tonight. but i haven't given up yet. i'm going to get something (besides grimey, painty fingers) out of that class yet. i have a pretty good idea for my next project that i think i will actually be able to pull off.

it really sucks to have a co-worker say, pretty much out of the blue, "you seemed really unmotivated last week". guh. it's 100% true, i am lacking motivation, it's kind of a yucky feeling to have somebody else notice and point it out. it's getting closer and closer to moseying time there...

hey guys, if you're ever feeling kind of bummed out, MAYBE because you tried hitting on some gay guy the night before and your crushes never pan out and you don't like your job and don't know what you're doing with your life, do yourself a favour and listen to "mr. e's beautiful blues" by the eels.
