this weekend i intended to do the following things: • clean out my car like mad • have an awkward but conclusive talk with dawson about what we're doing • practice math for next week • go longboarding with arif (pof guy)
instead i: • cleaned my kitchen like mad • hung out with dan • bought underwear • went to a movie/dinner with josh (a homeless guy i met a few weeks ago - pictured on right...but not really, that's keanu reeves). we ate at mcdonalds & watched forgetting sarah marshall.
i'm in a great neighbourhood but i wish it was flatter. hah. i live on top of a big hill. WAY too steep to board down and kinda steep for my bike to get up.
unrelatedly, my life is weird right now. my work life, my lust/love/crush/ life both feel kinda... wrong? but, only a week until the WBF assessment... and only... 4 years until the end of the world..
good things: - i'm getting rid of my car at the end of the month. good riddance dead weight. - i made a budget - i signed up for spud organic grocery delivery service - assess assess assessment
every episode of captain planet is online! how can you NOT love the internet?
so... i sorta have a special fella right now, and it's really great. too great; we're nervous. last night was full of the same round & round we go conversation - can we honour an expiry date of 5 months without having our feelings and friendship smashed to pieces? the answer is, we don't know. probably expect some good heartbreak blogging in august though, i know you guys love that shit.
i accidently sold cigarettes to an underage narc kid at the drug store and got busted. guh.... embarrassing, but i could have got a life-ruining $3000 fine. i am now IDing every human being.
ps - that picture is a real package of cigarettes; "Lucky Strike commissioned one pack of smokes to be produced that proudly boasts 18ct white gold package that displays one large diamond and one large ruby". ughhhh.
saturday: worked job #2, then went to a show with dan at the hi-fi instead of playing tile rummy. we regretted it. sunday: internetted all day then i met a guy for tea and a hot dog. monday: i worked job #2. tuesday: sasquatch team meeting. we have tickets, we have premiere camping, we are good to go. wednesday: screen printing class, meh. left early to hang out with dawson & watched fantasia. thursday: made matcha cookies with sara and watched crazy cable TV. friday: went snowboarding for FREE with guy from sunday, then had sushi/scrabble with bodman.
i spent quite a bit of time this week thinking/talking/reading about john titor, the time traveller. i just love everything about this website. it's so ridiculous and awesome.
from the john titor times:
A world war in 2015 killed nearly three billion people. The people that survived grew closer together. Life is centered on the family and then the community. I cannot imagine living even a few hundred miles away from my parents.
There is no large industrial complex creating masses of useless food and recreational items. Food and livestock is grown and sold locally. People spend much more time reading and talking together face to face. Religion is taken seriously and everyone can multiply and divide in their heads.
john titor q & a:
What happens to Bill Clinton? I don't really know.
What happens to Bill Gates? This I do know but I won't discuss.
yes! i have finally been reunited with this song. it's been too long. you've done it again, library!
i'm cleaning my place. it's excruciating. i wish i had a filing cabinet for all my papers. and also a filing cabinet for my clothes..oh i mean, a dresser.
